With its three data centres MATERNA is able to provide high performance, operator level infrastructure and full application management. Industry-standard permanent monitoring grants the highest availability as it is required by our customers. As part of our full-service management, we offer system design, hosting and maintenance.
The Helpdesk operates 24x7 integrated into the system operating. A trouble tickets system is used to collect, process and monitor malfunctions. All relevant information is available within this system. MATERNA employees are trained engineers who are able to perform an initial fault analysis and fault processing.
The MATERNA data centre is equipped with redundant connections. Independent Internet Service Providers (ISPs) are connected via several dedicated lines to the data centre. These dedicated lines are operated by different carriers (2-way routing). All network components for the connection are doubled. The fail safety of the Internet addresses (IPs) is backed up by the Internet routing protocol BGP (Border Gateway Protocol).
All databases, servers and sensitive data are backed up daily. The tapes used for this purpose are stored in a safe and rotate after a certain time. This procedure guarantees a fast recovery and permanent data storage.
